During the open day of the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome, held yesterday, I took part in a workshop very interesting. The context was the accessories and the theme was “Make your own bag.” Luigi Mulas explained, very simply and effectively, the main rules to remember to create a shopper. And then, he started working on the fabric, asked us to consider the simple geometrical figures and create a shopper from there (sewed by him).
I chose a pentagon: I gave up creating a handle directly with the fabric. I have not made a good job, but I’m happy for many informations Mulas gave me, opening mind to many aspects of design, which perhaps will help me in my workplace.
