In the wide range of brands exposed at Pitti in Urban Panorama, the section devoted to the metropolis and its style, one that I was immediately struck by its simplicity and immediacy to capturing the look, is F.N.B.C. BY INSTANTOLOGY.
F.N.B.C. (Friday Night Blazer Club) is the diffusion line of Instantology, founded in 2011 for the international market, focused on blazer and urban tayloring. Instantology is a Seoul indipendent clothing company, founded in 2008 by chief designer Ji Il-Geun, who has trained traditional tailoring in Seoul. Under the motto “Urban tailoring for urban gents,” Instantology seeks to combine the traditional taste with modern techniques.
Items of FW14 that made me wish Pitti was a great shop were the leather sweatshirts with tone-on-tone words, truly international flavor, that I would have worn immediately. Blazers are still their boss rush, and in fact are developed according to the trend of last season, as the rich floral prints, the idea of quilting (in black or camel), the large tartan geometries, golden worked materials and the cashmere patterns typical of bandanas.
My love for Korea is confirmed in this idea of urban tailoring of Instantology. Something that I think will be increasingly popular for the modern street men.
