Bomber jacket isis just one of many menswear pieces born in the military sector. Similar to trench and parka, it has a timeless appeal that transcends styles and trends. Traditionally identified by its waist length, knitted waistband/cuffs and front zip closure, the bomber jacket has been reinvented in various ways. Also the Spanish brand Grimey Wear for the Fall-Winter 2014 collection offers his black bomber jacket, enriching it with symbols of street culture through patches and ribbons. The orange lining allows to use it also in reverse.
To focus on the bomber jacket, you have to keep the rest of your outfit simple. That’s why I decided to use a flannel shirt with the typical check pattern by Uniforms For The Dedicated and a bright skinny jeans by Cheap Monday, another symbol of street culture. The outfit is completed by the personal touch of the Front Lace Up Flat Brogues by Jessica Buurman. Able to be worn easily, the bomber jacket is a good alternative to the venerable denim jacket for a modern wardrobe.
The GRMY FW14 Black Bomber Jacket is available at Hoodboyz, an e-shop dedicated to the world of street and hip-hop wear.
