After the #HMBalmaination hysteria has calmed down, it started the race of what would have been the next collaboration by H&M. And now H& Mhas published the entire capsule collection of his next guest designer: Kenzo.
The launch online and in selected stores around the world will be November 3rd and the collection will feature clothes and accessories for both men and women. Creative Directors of Kenzo, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, wanted to tell with this capsule collection the brand’s history, inviting all customers and fans of H&M to the real Kenzo world.
The philosophy that unites the two creative directors is the charm of new: both students of Berkeley, moved to New York where she was born the idea of Opening Ceremony, a concept shop that reflected the multi-nationality of the metropolis. Five years ago, the meeting with Kenzo, where the duo has experienced his own idea of style.
Leon and Lim loves to be fearless. They believe in idiosyncrasy. So hard to decide to embroider a tiger face on a sweatshirt and put it on the runway. Four years later, that sweatshirt has become a fashion icon.
With this collaboration Kenzo wants to create something amazing, that people want to buy and wear. People today have so many options on what they want to wear and how they want to express themselves, so become really important to be careful making clothes that people can get excited.
Each piece of the capsule collection Kenzo x H&M has its value and is special, but at the same time the collection as a whole, it looks very united. This means that people should be so keen in owning a t-shirt as in owning a suit.
