The last few years have seen the limelight of running shoes in men’s clothing. And it’s not difficult to understand why: with the dominant instinct of comfort and their performance, these shoes have become an excellent alternative to more “formal” footwear such as Oxford or Derbie.
But putting together a strong casual look that exploits the potential of these shoes requires an extra effort, aiming a selection of basic items you can build your outfit with – so you do not miss it.
The new style of running shoes
Design-free technology is never satisfactory. Think, for example, of a tablet that is not an iPad. No matter what you can do if it is not wrapped in a sheet of aluminum bent fresh to the touch. For running shoes, the concept is the same. Alongside the typical technical materials, running shoes undergone a change in terms of style to avoid the idea that you are constantly in a gym!
Xiaomi Lightweight Sneakers you see in this post for example add a bit of nostalgia in their design, mentioning the heritage of the imagery of running shoes of the past.
How to pair running shoes for a casual look
Lightweight, breathable and equipped with an incomparable level of comfort, running shoes put their performance first. But it’s not all function without form: these shoes have become a streetwear element to add to any casual look.
The important thing is to combine them with something like shirt to counterbalance the gym atmosphere, but do not forget to add an athletic element somewhere in your look. Consider for example a more relaxing pants (and not a headband in your hair!)
