While under the hot sun, we seek ways to freshen up, Zara presents its new proposals for the men’s AW13. The entire collection is mainly based on a mix of cotton and faux leather: it starts from the best winter cloth, the coat, developed especially in a double-breasted version in both leather and in a version with contrast, but also in the classic cotton or tweed. Among the jackets, stands obviously the biker one, a classic faux leather inserts with rounded shoulders and sleeves.
For the blazers, this time Zara points to the short cut, sometimes with braid’s inserts (already experienced in the last collection), but also basic (again, in contrast to the leather version) or in a more classical tweed from large chess.
The development comes with pants: from the cotton pants, sometimes with applications in leather, to completely faux leather pants, in skinny or softer cut. It also stands out among the pants the biker one, with dished insert on the knees. The jeans, remaining always in this mood of the leather, are especially in dark denim, almost always basic, with applications of micro studs and sometimes with a wash that makes them more “dirty”.
The shirts are fairly similar to the style of Zara: we find in cotton or dark denim, with applications of gold buttons (repeated also in some blazers and coats), but once again is the knitwear to surprise, with mesh braid and warp point: in this case, the contrasts are not from faux leather but from the colors between tchest and sleeves.
Little mention to the shoes, including fantastic faux leather ankle boots (in addition to classic English shoes) and accessories such as oversized scarves and weekend bag (I think in suede) that I would like for example NOW!
