“Live in Levi’s” is the new campaign that celebrates the life lived everyday wearing Levi’s. The protagonists are the 511 Slim jeans from the new autumn/winter 2014 collection, along with iconic products like the 501 jeans, the western shirt and the Trucker jacket. The campaign involves the global community of Levi’s fan with a social film that shows the stories of people, a commercial for TV and cinema directed by Fredrik Bondand and a print campaign created by Jason Nocito with the slogans “For everybody who’s not just anybody” and “Look good on your way to what’s next.“
To celebrate the launch of this new campaign and the Levi’s Icons collection Fall/Winter 2014, Levi’s pays homage to the trend of customization, a must for any wardrobe. From 25 September to 25 October buying, in the partecipating Levi’s Store, garments and accessories of Levi’s Red Tab for a total value of € 150, you will receive a Denim Repair Kit: a wooden box containing tools (such as buttons, thread, pumice stone , etc …) useful for customization and repair of Levi’s denim garments. Also on the official Facebook page and on the website you can find a guide with many helpful tips for customizing and repairing all the Levi’s clothes.
In this outfit I decided to customize the iconic 501 jeans, that in his new collection has slightly evolved with a dark wash and a denim longevity but keeping the copper rivets used to make it more resistant for pockets and seams. Relying to the guide provided in the kit, I’ve aged the jeans: I made a series of cuts on knees and legs, with a needle I frayed the edges and I used sandpaper on them to create a “lived” effect . I used the sandpaper also on the rest of the legs, so it went out a lighter color that created an “used” effect. For the rest of the outfit I chose the camo slip-on by Zara, which I paired with a Zara blazer of the same pattern and a black tshirt with a baroque print on the top of Easy2Dress.
