The German retailerThe Good Will Out teamed up with ASICS for a special edition of the Gel-Lyte V sneakers. Denominated “Koyo”, the design of the shoe is inspired by the colors of the leaves of autumn in Japan. Koyo is in fact for the Japanese autumn what cherry blossoms (sakura) are for Chinese spring. So much that a very practiced activity in Japan is the contemplation of the leaves (Momijigari).
Made of the highest quality nubuck leather in a deep burgundy, the Koyo sneakers have three shades of dark red, represented the many shades of red autumn leaves. Another visible color is the bright yellow, that originates from the edges of the leaves falling. Other details of this shoe are the white midsole, the leather panel of tactile quality of a leaf on the heel and an inner sole with a soft allover print of leaves.
