I’ve always been attracted to the satire. The last episodes occurred in France have given a higher meaning to this word, and I agree with the Italian illustrator Gipi when he says that “the only rule of satire is to go from the weak to the powerful”. This is why I never considered derisively, as a graphic designer and lover of tshirt, the manipulation that involves the most important brands and their logos. Although in a less serious way than Charlie Hebdo, they aren’t untouchable too.
Browsing the various boards of inspiration from blogs and social newtorks, a parody that particularly struck me is the transformation of the brand Dior with the typical font of Walt Disney. A playful way to give a meaning closer to everyone of a brand with a classy allure. Because everyone has seen in their lives an animated film by Walt Disney. Thanks to Snapmade I had the opportunity to create custom t shirts as the “Dior Disney” that you see in this outfit. But the site allows you to create Personalized Gifts as iPhone case, hats, pillows, clock, cups and shoppers. Or buy them using the graphics on the site.
To give a greater prominence to the tshirt, I decided to use a pants with low crotch, gray background and tonal check by Ettore Pancaldi, a leather jacket by Zara and BRANT Basic Leather Brogues by Jessica Buurman. As accessory I chose the Broken Floor New Era cap by Kenzo, with the white/black pattern that simulates the texture of a broken floor.
