It’s true, too often an item of clothing is called an “essential for wardrobe”, but if there is one garment on which this concept can really be applied it is surely the t-shirt!
It would be difficult, even for the most elegant ones, to find a man who has never owned this basic garment that has a history of over 100 years. The versatility of the t-shirt has a lot to do with its ability to survive trends; it’s the only item of clothing that can be worn for any occasion: alone, with a suit, in the gym, on the beach and even in bed.
But are we really making the most of its potential?
T-shirt and big guys
When it comes to big guys, the design of the t-shirts is often based on a “multiplication and division” of the inches of the usual sizes, regardless of the specific needs of a body with physical characteristics different from those on which the usual sizes are based.
For example, it often happens that thicker men have a shorter t-shirt despite it fits well on their shoulders and arms because it’s not considered that the prominence of the belly can lead to “shortening” the t-shirt with the consequence of not covering it! Or often, bending over, you have to continually lower the t-shirt on your back to prevent the show from seeing part of your butt from behind. And finally, sitting down, it happens that the t-shirt “rises” leaving the final part of the back uncovered.
The solution of NORW8
It’s therefore important that during the design phase all those needs are considered: NORW8 is a brand born from Martin, a plus-size boy from Slovakia. His t-shirts (but there are also hoodies) start from his experience with the idea of being able to make bigger guys feel at ease with what they wear. His cuts are unique and made by him, the t-shirts are all handmade in Europe, with prints that aren’t on the shirt but directly on the fabric. The size range goes from 2XL to 7XL.
In this post you will find both the Viking model, based on a gradient gray shade and a symbol pattern inspired by the runic alphabet, and the simpler Khaki model that you can combine with just about anything.
