Be in touch with the world of fashion gives the privilege to hear stories that take lifeblood from unpleasant events. More than eighty years ago, in a time of change and revolution for Italy, the crisis and the lack of raw materials burdened Italian industrial economy, with wage cuts and famine. Some workers began to arise: a special mark for ones from an industry of iron and lead in Sardinia was to wear their uniforms on reverse, changing its appearance with abrasions and applications.
With the closure of the industry, many of these families emigrated to America where they continued their experiments on those particular processes, changing the common idea of workwear. Today, after a prosperous period, they returned to Italy where he had the opportunity to continue this American inspiration under the name of CLOSE -UP, literally means “in the foreground, show youself”. A brand that wants to stand out and be unique, attention to quality, innovation, sophistication washes and all those little details that make special who want to wear the “character of freedom”
In this outfit post I chose to wear a tshirt of the new SS14 collection, with all-over print in bright colors and kaleidoscopic geometry of natural elements and Aztec signs. To this item I paired the stretch denim Racer Stone by Rigin, with an innovative cut, the sneakers (with Aztec reference) by Adidas x Jeremy Scott, and a reversible jacket (blue – camouflage) by F ** K Project.
