Menswear has fully embraced different colors and materials, becoming more adventurous. No place for blocks of color and opaque shades, but also patterns and prints are fast becoming an essential part of the contemporary wardrobe. And the pattern of this winter season is the check, not only for cotton but also for other kinds of fabric such as gingham or plaid.
The United States helped to spread one of the most enduring of masculine style check, the lumberjack check, that has become one of the cornerstones of dressing men. This red and black weave instantly recognizable has its origins in the Scottish Tartan and consists of red and black wires densely woven. A classic and male texture, that most of men already knows in the form of shirts. But red and black check is one of the key pattern of this season in plaid version.
Man plaid scarf: a 2016 fashion trend
On practical level, the benefits of the warmth of plaid are hard to beat for the robust fiber. And when the weather turns for the worse, a plaid scarf is not only useful for covering, but it can add a touch of style and color to your look. A plaid scarf is a timeless choice.
In this outfit I decided to use the plaid scarf with red and black check by Newchic enhancing its colors and quality. That’s why I combined it with trousers in wool by Primordial Is Primitive, the military inspiration boots by Finale and black sweatshirt “Tisci 74” by Les Artists.
The plaid scarf is an accessory to add to your shopping list.
