A very special kind of bee called Xylocopa bombylans, better known as the Blue Carpenter Bee, is going to tell you something really interesting: ASICS and Solebox collaborated to create ASICS GEL-X Solebox LYTE III “Blue Carpenter Bee”, created by Hikmet Sugoer.
The inspiration for this collaboration comes directly from Australia, more precisely from the Australian peninsula of Cape York, the natural home of the blue carpenter bees, known for its loud buzzing.

The sneaker with perforated nubuck, reflecting a shiny metallic-like black part of the bee body, has the typical tongue split in micro suede part lined with an exceptional blue color part. The Tiger stripes, arranged above a small grid, reminiscent of carpenter bees wings.
The sole – partly transparent – shows on a shoe the Solebox logo and on the other the bee logo design. The reflective logo and three variations of laces complete the look of the latest of the GEL-LYTE III.
