Fashion has always been tribal. From the battles between mod and rocker to punk boys, what we wear is a sign of who we are, of what we represent and with whom we identify. And even though today there are no battles – apart from those on Instagram – the demarcation continues to exist. And one of the strongest is the streeetwear.
The streetwear philosophy
Despite its ideas of wearing shorts, streetwear has something to offer for any type of outfit. Streetwear clothing is in fact a formidable force in the modern fashion man arena.
Whether it is openly athletic or only inspired to it, streetwear pieces can make your look modern in a simple way. An aesthetic that has continued to evolve, increasing its presence in fashion: street clothing is in fact highly focused on cuts, shapes and fabrics with a minimalist, rigorous and very clean aesthetic sense.
Key pieces for a men streetwear outfit
What are the key elements of a streetwear look? On the one hand we have the joggers, that have to be strictly tight to avoid the effect “I’m going to run”! In this outfit, for example, I used the white Lie To Me LTM joggers rolling them to the knee creating a piece more modern and contemporary.
The other key element remains the t-shirt. Being the most versatile and more transversal item in the fashion style, streetwear t-shirts should strike a balance between oversize and narrow: it must be as close to the body stretching (unlike many other styles where it should not exceed the high part of the hips!). The Lie To Me LTM tshirt of this outfit puts in the back iconic and graphic elements of the world of heavy metal and rock logos, treating them with bright colors like red.
So taking inspiration from streetwear clothes can raise the most traditional outfit, bringing you out of your comfort zone and opening up to new approaches.
