The long ten-year collaboration between the legendary Jeremy Scott and the brand Adidas is celebrated through the new SS2014 collection. Scott refuses to rest on laurels and pushing ahead with his vision of luxury sportswear, focused on bright colors, quality fabrics and intricate prints.
The typical design of the designer is visible through each item in the collection: one of the new themes is the traditional pearl embroidered in London. The style “Pearlies”, the nickname of street traders in the East End wearing clothes decorated with pearl buttons, emerged in the seventeenth century and reached its peak in the 70s. For this collection, Scott added pearl buttons sewn by hand on heavy weight jackets and on the background of overalls with bondage details.
Do not miss the prints: to celebrate UK, Jeremy creates an all-over print of the Adidas logo with a photo of his face painted with the Union Jack, and to honor his classic American sportswear heritage has created a colorful tshirt from football jersey with all-over the details and numbers with a plastic inner gel. Other topics include the dollar sign winged, flowers and leopard print, all the classic pattern by Jeremy Scott, updated to the aesthetics of the new season.
The color palette moves on neon, for the jackets and the shorts in shades orange and green. In this regard, Scott revitalizes the silhouette of shorts with the denim shorts with velcro orange belt and a jogger with sleeves attached to the sides.
Even the shoes are inspired by England through a Union Jack print on Letter Instinct model, also available in a leopard print, while the iconic Bones trainer are back with a leather multicolored and the golden logo of Adidas, perfectly summing up not only the key themes for the SS14 but also the core of the design of the mark Adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott.
