The interest in eco-sustainability is becoming increasingly strong in area such as design, where raw materials and processes can really make the difference to nature and environment preservation.
Elemento Watches is an Italian start-up that wants to spread a philosophy of returning to silence and nature through watches with wooden case. For each watch sold, it will planted a new tree in collaboration with a partner of Element Watches. Element Watches doesn’t propose only an eco-friendly watches, but it is an ambassador of a new lifestyle.
The first collection will consist of two models. What you can see in this post is the prototype of the model with case in bamboo with a diameter of 49 mm and leather strap. The watch is 100% natural, hypoallergenic and completely free of toxic chemicals, with mineral glass and Japanese quartz movement (Myota).
The product is not yet available for sale. The start-up has made fully functional prototypes, but it’s relying on the support of all those who believe in this project through a campaign of crowfunding to launch their own models on the market. If you are sensitive to environmental issues such as those of Element Watches you supported their campaign on Indiegogo, receiving in exchange different types of rewards (including the prototype of the watch).
